The aims of Duchenne Ireland are to raise awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy at local, national and government level, and to raise funds that go directly to the researchers and clinicians we believe have the best chance of developing improved therapies which will benefit this generation. We are also working towards achieving an infrastructure which is on a par with best international practice.
MDI provides information, advice and support to people with neuromuscular conditions and their families through a range of support services. MDI’s objective is to promote practical empowerment and independent living for people with neuromuscular conditions to fully participate in society and to live the life of their own choosing.
